Resident Evil (2026) ★★★☆☆

I did not realise that this was going to be a comedy. It is very funny but in a way that I am not convinced will hold up on a rewatch. Doesn’t really have the tone or style of Resident Evil that much other than throwing in a bunch of visual references and some of the mutations made me think of Slither more than the games, but there’s already been enough bad attempts at putting Resident Evil’s cast on film that doing its own thing well was a much better idea.
