Who Framed Roger Rabbit ★★★★★

They are showing off so much with how much the toons interact with the world, it’s such an impressive work of filmmaking. It’s also still just very funny and charming and I adore how Judge Doom being so obviously, cartoonishly evil and out of step with the other human characters acts as foreshadowing to the fact that he is in fact a toon himself, and how the film uses that as a statement that the dismantling of public infrastructure and impoverished neighbourhoods in the name of suburban development is itself something only a cartoon villain could want.
